Submissions

If you'd like the Literary Work In Progress team to critique your work, you can submit your first chapter (up to ten pages) in the body of an e-mail to LiteraryWIP@gmail.com. Please put the genre in the subject line. We try to pair guest authors with submissions in the same genre they write.

If you submit, you are agreeing to allow us to post your work for listeners to read as they listen to the critique.

Sometimes there's a little bit of a wait, so thanks in advance for your patience, and we'll let you know when to expect your critique to come up on the show.

About Us

Literary Work In Progress is a bunch of writing nerds talking about what we love best (writing!).

Between the four of us we have experience working with agents, authors, and editors, including wading through agency slushpiles. Every week we do a quick chat about something to do with writing, and then discuss one submission, giving insight as to what might give an agent or editor pause when looking at your first chapter.

We frequently invite guest authors to chat and critique with us on the podcast.
